Q. What advice would you give to younger student-athletes who aspire to achieve the same recognition?

A. My advice to young athletes would be to embrace the journey! If you truly embrace the journey and everything that comes with it, the result will take care of itself… and in the slight chance that the result just doesn’t turn out in your favor, you can be at peace knowing you committed to the journey in the right way. Everything is a lesson and growing experience when you embrace the journey. The highs and lows and everything in between all become worth it.

Q. What are your plans for continuing sports after high school, and how do you see athletics shaping your future?

A. My plans for continuing sports after high school are going to a D1 athletic college for track. Athletics will shape my future a lot like it already has, making me better and better every day.
