Q. What date did you start in the new role?

A. Sept. 4, 2024.

Q. What is your background experience that led to this position?

A. I received my associate degree at MVCC in Utica. Then, I received my bachelor’s degree at SUNY Oneonta. During my time in college, I was part of many internships where I worked with grade school students. I also was connected with many master science teachers around New York state through professional development events.

Q. What makes you excited about working in your new role at Herkimer CSD?

A. I am so excited to teach science here at Herkimer. Science is a passion of mine, and I love teaching people about this wonderful world we live in.

Q. When did you first know you wanted become a teacher and what made you feel that way?

A. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in high school. I always liked learning about science and teaching people about it.

Q. What do you think makes Herkimer CSD special?

A. Everybody has told me this was a family-oriented workplace. So far, this has been true, and I am glad to be a part of Herkimer CSD.
