Q. What date did you start in the new role?
A. Aug. 27, 2024.
Q. What is your background experience that led to this position?
A. I graduated from Hartwick College in 2023 and then started my master’s of childhood education at Utica University this past January. Prior to this position, I was a long-term substitute TA [teaching assistant] at LFCSD [Little Falls City School District] and then had the opportunity to be a short-term substitute for sixth grade science at Herkimer for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year.
Q. What makes you excited about working in your new role at Herkimer CSD?
A. I am excited to grow as a professional and in my career. I look forward to new opportunities and challenges along the way.
Q. When did you first know you wanted become a teacher and what made you feel that way?
A. I knew I wanted to be an educator when I was in college, and it was confirmed when I began substituting.
Q. What do you think makes Herkimer CSD special?
A. Herkimer has a very welcoming team of professionals that really support each other, and I am proud to be a part of it!
