Q. What date did you start in the new role?
A. Sept. 4, 2024.
Q. What is your background experience that led to this position?
A. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus in child and adolescent development. I have always been drawn to education and working with kids and have been fortunate enough to work in a role like this for the past couple years.
Q. What makes you excited about working in your new role at Herkimer CSD?
A. I love the energy and the environment. I have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone I’ve interacted with so far.
Q. When did you first know you wanted become a teacher and what made you feel that way?
A. I have been interested in working in a school setting ever since I was in high school. At first, I wanted to be a high school English teacher. But after growing up some, having some kids of my own and working with younger kids, I learned how much I love the elementary kiddos.
Q. What do you think makes Herkimer CSD special?
A. The staff and students make this school such a special place to be. I am thankful for all that I have the pleasure of working with!
