The Art Student of the Month for May is Perzhia Mayo! Perzhia is a 12th grader who was chosen as Student of the Month by Mrs. Zorn because of her positive attitude and willingness to challenge herself creatively. She continuously practices her art-making skills, and it is evidenced by her exemplary body of artwork.  Below

Herkimer Jr./Sr. High School students in grades 9-12 heard a personal accounting on Tuesday, May 15, of the tragic story of former Herkimer student Connor Gage, whose family members visited to help students make safe decisions for themselves and others. Connor Gage attended Herkimer before finishing high school in Little Falls and graduating in 2018.

The Herkimer County System of Care Youth Advisory Council’s walk supporting mental health awareness takes place this Sunday, May 19, at the CVA Practice Field on Fredericks Street in Ilion. Registration is at 8:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 9 a.m. Also, Herkimer County students in grades 9-12 are invited to join the Youth
