  • Herkimer agriculture, art students team up to create moss art wall

    Herkimer Jr./Sr. High School agriculture and art students recently worked together using preserved moss and more traditional artwork featuring geometric shapes, elements of design and personal experiences to create a moss art wall. “The hope is this collaborative project will be a permanent installation here at Herkimer Jr./Sr. High School that celebrates the individual creativity

Perzhia is a 12th grader who was chosen as Student of the Month by Mrs. Zorn because of her positive attitude and willingness to challenge herself creatively.   • Family members of late, former Herkimer student Connor Gage provide advice to students

    Herkimer Jr./Sr. High School students in grades 9-12 heard a personal accounting on Tuesday, May 15, of the tragic story of former Herkimer student Connor Gage, whose family members visited to help students make safe decisions for themselves and others. Connor Gage attended Herkimer before finishing high school in Little Falls and graduating in 2018.


  • Herkimer County System of Care Youth Advisory Council hosting mental health awareness walk

    The Herkimer County System of Care Youth Advisory Council’s walk supporting mental health awareness takes place this Sunday, May 19, at the CVA Practice Field on Fredericks Street in Ilion. Registration is at 8:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 9 a.m. Also, Herkimer County students in grades 9-12 are invited to join the Youth
