Herkimer student signs commitment letter to pitch for Herkimer College

Congratulations to student Logan Pullman for officially signing a commitment letter on Tuesday, Feb. 4, to Herkimer College, where he will join the baseball team and go into general studies with a focus in business.

Pullman is a pitcher and has played Herkimer high school baseball since ninth grade.

Attendees of the commitment ceremony included Pullman’s parents Chris and Corey Pullman, Herkimer high school varsity coach Lane Potter, Zach Steele and Herkimer College assistant coach Michael Harrington.

High school counselor Carolyn Saugh shared her thoughts on Pullman and the value of commitment ceremonies.

“I feel as a counselor it is important to highlight scholar-athletes who commit to play at the collegiate level,” Saugh said. “These athletes not only excel in their sport but also manage to stay on top of their academic responsibilities, often balancing rigorous schedules and high expectations. Logan is a role model for our younger students, he consistently demonstrates hard work, sportsmanship, and a commitment to excellence. Whether on the field or in the classroom, Logan sets a high standard for others to follow. His respect for teammates, coaches, teachers, and peers has earned Logan admiration and respect from all who interact with him. Logan’s success is a testament to the power of discipline, determination and the willingness to put in the effort, day in and day out. I look forward to seeing all the great things he will accomplish at the collegiate level and beyond.”
