Herkimer Central School District junior Arthur Dadello has taken the initiative to gain meteorology experience at WKTV!
Dadello shadowed WKTV meteorologist Bill Kardas on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
He had the opportunity to see Kardas do the 6 p.m. weather report, experience the green screen, see the technology behind the scene and learn the radars and models used to do the daily weather reports.
Dadello said the coolest part of the experience was being able to talk to Kardas about what it is like to be a meteorologist, see the studio first-hand, discuss Kardas’s college experience and talk about potential future internship experiences at WKTV.
Kardas also posted about Dadello on Facebook, saying “Future meteorologist? Arthur, from Herkimer, is a high school student really interested in weather. Maybe someday you will see him on TV? Stay tuned!”
