The Art Student of the Month for April is Emily Baylor! Emily is in seventh grade and was chosen as Student of the Month by Mrs. Zorn because of her outstanding work ethic and her role as a positive influence in the classroom. Emily consistently uses her class time well, and she strives to improve her creativity and art-making skills. She is truly a leader in the classroom. Below is an interview with Emily.
Q. How does it feel to be Art Student of the Month?
A. I’m happy about it!
Q. What are your favorite art-making materials to work with?
A. I enjoy working with watercolor paints, pencils and tortillions.
Q. Do you have any artworks that you are particularly proud of?
A. I’m proud of my asymmetrically balanced still life watercolor painting.
Q. Do you plan on taking more art classes when you are in high school?
A. I’d like to take studio in art and ceramic classes in the future.
