Voting Information

Each year, qualified voters across New York state head to the polls to vote on their school district’s budget proposal and board candidates.

Polling Locations

Voting takes place from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Middle-High School Library Media Center.

Voter Qualifications

In order to vote in school elections, a person must be:

• at least 18 years old
• a U.S. citizen
• a resident of the Herkimer CSD for at least 30 days prior to the scheduled vote date.

Absentee Ballots and Early Voting

To vote by absentee ballot, you must fill out an application. To obtain an application, please call the District Office at (315) 866-2230 ext. 1318.
