27 Herkimer students have artwork in Youth Art Month Exhibit


There are 27 Herkimer Central School District students with artwork on display in the Herkimer County Youth Art Month Exhibit at Bassett Healthcare in Herkimer. The work will be on display for the full month of March.

Students from nine school districts in the Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES region contributed more than 200 works of art to be displayed in honor of Youth Art Month.

Herkimer art teachers Heather McCutcheon, Leah Zorn and Heather WheelerStapf helped Herkimer K-12 students submit artwork to the show.

The Herkimer students with artwork on display in the exhibit are the following:

McCutcheon’s students: 12th grader Victoria Stapf; 11th grader Danny Bleaking; 10th grader Russell Stapf; ninth graders Connor McCutcheon and Brian Lindsay; and eighth graders Leah Furgison,  Alaina Hutchinson, William Li, Jakob Perez, Alivia Prosser an eighth grader not cleared for media release.

WheelerStapf’s students: fifth graders Chelsea Everson and Christien Hansen; fourth grader Jaxsen Hight; third grader Marley Jo Carcone; first graders Ariana Bass and Eliza Maida; and kindergartener Oliver Riker.

Zorn’s students: sixth grader Madyson Baker; seventh graders Kayliana Doolen and Gunnar Richard; ninth grader Adam Kast; 10th grader Avrey Allen; 11th grader Bianca Barreto; and 12th graders Perzhia Mayo, Kaithlyn Merette and Naeleah Santiago Vazquez.
